The Committee was established at the end of 2007 following the EBA Exporters & Importers Committee restructure.

The main objective of the EBA Regulatory Affairs Committee is to focus on technical regulation, market surveillance, permitting system and other regulatory issues facing the EBA member companies.

Olena Kalabanya was reelected as Chair of the Committee starting 01 October 2009, she occupies position of Regulatory Affairs Manager at Philip Morris Ukraine.

The following priorities of Committee activity were defined for 2010 year:

• Lobby for clear legislative definition of the voluntary status of standards.
• Promote development of the Ukrainian system of quality infrastructure in line with the EU best practice.

The Committee holds its meetings on a bi-monthly basis. The Committee meetings stick to the third Friday of the month, 9:30.
