 The EBA Life Insurance Committee was established in 2008.
Yermek Kadyrbayev, SEB Life was elected as the EBA Life Insurance Committee Chairman for the period April 2010 - December 2010.
Currently there are 6 committee members – leading life insurance companies:
- FORTIS Life
- GARANT Life
- GRAWE UKRAINE
- INGO Ukraine
- PZU Life
- SEB Life
The Committee set up the following priorities for 2010:
- to monitor and comment on the drafts developed by the State Commission on Regulation of Financial Services Markets in terms of life insurance;
- to elaborate life insurance chapter to be contributed to legislative initiatives on amending the Law on Insurance;
- to lobby for enhancement of taxation rules applied to life insurance.
The Committee holds its meetings on a monthly basis.
