The EBA Life Insurance Committee was established in 2008.

Natalia Bazilevskaya, Grawe Ukraine was elected as the EBA Life Insurance Committee Chair for the period September 2009 – February 2010.

Currently there are 6 committee members – leading life insurance companies:

The Committee set up the following priorities for 2010:

to monitor and comment on the drafts developed by the State Commission on Regulation of Financial Services Markets in terms of life insurance;
to elaborate life insurance chapter to be contributed to legislative initiatives on amending the Law on Insurance;
to lobby for enhancement of taxation rules applied to life insurance.

The Committee holds its meetings on a monthly basis.
