 The EBA Agrochemical Committee was established in the year 2001 and currently is one of the most active EBA Committees.
The EBA Agrochemical Committee was established in 2001 and is a member of the European Crop Protection since January 2004.
The Committee brings together representatives of 8 agrochemical companies working in Ukraine:
- Arysta LifeScience
- BASF AG
- Bayer CropScience
- Dow AgroScienses
- Du Pont de Nemours International S.A.
- Summit-Agro Ukraine Ltd.
- Syngenta
- Makhteshim-Agan Ukraine
The priorities of the Committee to be focused in 2010 are:
- Implementation of the Committee Anti-Counterfeit Campaign (following the elaborated activity plan approved by ECPA);
- Work on amendments to regulations of pesticides and agrochemicals sector in order to make the registration system more transparent, ensuring protection of IP rights in the sector.
- Investigate possibilities and needs of establishing an empty container disposal system in Ukraine, based on practices in the region.
According to results of the Committee's leadership election, the Committee Chair in 2010 is Hans Bestman, Head of Business Management Crop Protection Ukraine / Moldova / Caucasus of BASF.
